Fundraise for Wallingford Accessible Boat Club
Get Involved
Wallingford Accessible Boat Club relies on the kindness and generosity of individuals, groups, and organisations across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. Every donation and fundraising effort helps us continue providing free, accessible Wheelyboat trips along the beautiful River Thames.
By fundraising for the club, you are helping disabled and less mobile people enjoy the freedom, independence and joy of getting out on the water — often for the very first time.
There are so many ways you can get involved:
- Take on a personal challenge
- Organise a community event
- Fundraise with friends or colleagues
- Or create your own unique idea
Whatever you choose to do, your support makes a real difference to local people and helps create memorable days on the river.
If you would like to chat about your fundraising and donation options our team would love to help. Email us at ku.gr1776646252o.cba1776646252w@gni1776646252siard1776646252nuf1776646252
Together we can make the River Thames accessible to everyone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does WABC need my donation?
We are a small, volunteer-run charity that offers all our boat trips completely free of charge because we believe the river should be accessible to everyone. To make this possible, we need to raise a significant amount of money each year, and donations are a vital part of how we do that. Every contribution, large or small, makes a real difference.

How can I leave WABC a gift in my will?
Leaving a legacy gift is a wonderful way to support the charity and help ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy the river. We'd be happy to share information on how to do this - just get in touch and we'll guide you through the options.

Do you accept Gift Aid?
Yes, and it makes a tremendous difference. If you're a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid allows us to claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you. It's one of the simplest ways to make your donation go further, and we're very grateful to everyone who signs up for it. You will be given this option when you use our Donate option on this website.
How can I volunteer to help raise funds for WABC?
We'd love your help. As a small charity, every bit of support goes a long way, and our volunteer fundraisers play a huge role in what we're able to achieve. If you'd like to get involved, please don't hesitate to reach out to Jane.

How can my business become a corporate partner?
We're always delighted to hear from organisations who'd like to support our work. Corporate partnerships can take many forms, and we'd love to have a conversation about how we might work together to benefit the people who rely on our services. Please do get in touch — we'd be very happy to chat.
