Frequently Asked Questions
Can we pick when we go on a trip?
Yes, we have morning and afternoon availability to choose from when making your online booking.
The trip slots are two hours long, but can we finish early?
Of course, we understand people of different ages and/or abilities may want to shorten their experience - just ask our crew at any time.
Can there be multiple drop-offs or pick-ups in one trip slot?
At the moment, no. Logistically, this wastes a lot of trip time, and you’ll find different groups of passengers having their own trip slots on the boat will make for a far better experience all round.
Where can we cruise?
We operate between Days Lock and Cleeve Lock, which is ample distance to take in the sights and sounds of the river in one trip. If you trip with us again you can ask to go in the other direction.
I have boating experience so can I take your boat out myself with my disabled friend/family member?
No, we are not a solo hire service. We will always host and crew all trips for the best safety and enjoyability all round.
Do I have to fill all six places on the boat when I book?
No, it is up to you - the boat is yours for the duration of the trip. Remember, any carer(s) need a seat too.
Can I bring my dog?
Only assistance dogs are allowed onboard our boat.
How far ahead can I book a trip?
You will see the earliest availability on the online booking calendar, and you can make a booking anytime through the season up until the end of September, again depending on availability.
What if the weather is bad on the day of the trip?
Your Skipper will call the day before to confirm details with you, including the weather forecast. A decision to cancel can be made then or on the morning of the trip. These things happen; we’ll get in touch with you to rearrange your trip if we can.
If you have any questions, please contact ku.gr1777202951o.cba1777202951w@sgn1777202951ikoob1777202951.
What if a passenger is ill on the day, and/or I have to cancel?
We ask for as much notice as possible. Our service can be in high demand, so it would be great to offer your slot to someone else. We can then rearrange your trip for another time if we can.
Please contact ku.gr1777202951o.cba1777202951w@sgn1777202951ikoob1777202951.
How much does a trip cost?
Our trips are free of charge. But, being a charitable non-profit organisation, we rely on donations. However big or small they may be, they are always gratefully received.
