WABC’s first Community Champion was local resident Abi Turner, a member of Benson Striders Running Club, who ran the London Marathon raising funds for Wallingford Accessible Boat Club.
Chairman, John Jenkins explained; “as an organisation we need to raise a significant amount of money each year to operate, so are absolutely delighted that Abi took up the formidable challenge of the London Marathon. She is an absolute wonder, and we are so pleased that she became our very first Community Champion.”
